I don’t take insurance, but I try to be transparent about time and billing to ensure you have all the information you need to make the best financial and personal decisions about your commitment to therapy. If you have questions about payment structure or options, please feel free to book a consultation with me.

I charge $175 per session. My fee is a reflection of the respect I have for your willingness to do the work, and my commitment to supporting you in doing so.

We can work together to find the answers you’re looking for. Therapy isn’t forever, but it’s also not a quick fix. You should plan for a minimum commitment of three months if we’re working together weekly, but many of my clients continue to do work with me for up to and beyond a year. Together we will find solutions and coping tools for the issues you’re facing now, but we will also work to mend your past experiences too so that you have all you need for the future ahead.

You absolutely can! In fact, the foundation of mending experiences is built on providing this web-based safe space for counseling. I chose to open a virtual practice because I believe the convenience and accessibility of telehealth are unmatched. Even as the pandemic lessens its grip on our lives, the importance of flexibility that virtual spaces provide has remained. I want you to be able to come to your session from wherever you are without the hassle of commuting and taking up more time in your day. For this reason, Mending Experiences is a virtual-first practice.
-
Without a doubt. Our sessions will maintain the same privacy and confidentiality regulations that any face-to-face therapy session would offer. Securely stored paperwork, digital portals, and secure and encrypted connections are all part of the service you get when choosing to work with Mending Experiences.
On your end, you can help ensure privacy by choosing a quiet location with no distractions and no one to overhear the work we do together.

I recognize the value of crisis counseling, but this is not a service that I offer. We will only be able to meet at your scheduled appointment time. For immediate intervention, please seek services tailored to meet these needs. If you are in crisis or at imminent risk, please reach out to the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room. Do not wait for your next appointment. I am here to help you heal and grow along the way so if crisis preparation is something you’d benefit from, safety plans are always available as part of our work together. These plans will be bespoke for your needs and include local resources available to you in crisis situations.

Please give me 24 hours notice if you cannot make it to your appointment for any reason.
While notice is important, I do understand that life happens. To accommodate the flexibility we often need when it does, my flexible cancellation policy includes one risk-free no show. For other appointments you aren’t present for, 50% of your hourly fee will apply for immediate payment.
For major life altering events, please get in touch with me to discuss exceptions.

Recognizing what’s not working is a powerful skill. I offer 15-minute free consultations to every client because it is important to me that you feel comfortable and confident from the get-go. This is a great time to ensure that we can work well together and that our goals are aligned with the work we’ll undertake together.
If we begin therapy together and it doesn’t feel like the right fit, I am happy to refer you to another practice. There is no obligation to remain in a space that doesn’t serve you.
